Just like big brother. With WrestleMania 35 being just a week away, a story that has been flying underneath the radar is the impending move of SmackDown Live to FOX. The move is only about six months from now and it’s clear that the show is going to become a bigger deal. As it turns out, there might be so much of the new show that one network isn’t enough to contain it all.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there is a chance that SmackDown Live could be expanded to three hours, with the first two hours on the show taking place on FOX with a third hour moving over to FOX Sports 1. If this is the case, WWE could make more money from FOX for the additional material. There is no word on what this would mean for 205 Live, which airs after SmackDown Live.
With SmackDown moving, it deserves a look back. Check out the all time best moments:
Opinion: I mean, I can’t say I’d be surprised at this as you knew they weren’t going to be expanding SmackDown Live at one point or another. Monday Night Raw has been three hours for about three years now and you can only survive as a two hour show for so long. I can understand why WWE would be interesting in making more money, but egads the last thing WWE needs at the moment is more content.
