Another chance for the women. One of the bigger stories on “Smackdown Live” to close out 2016 was Becky Lynch going after the Smackdown Women’s Title. Alexa Bliss managed to retain it with assistance from Mickie James, which didn’t quite sit well with Lynch. Now she has a chance to fix things.
As announced on WWE.com, Lynch
will face James this Sunday at “Elimination Chamber 2017”. This is James’ first singles pay per view match since “Royal Rumble 2010”, though she was active in TNA and various other independents in the years since. James also competed in a six women tag match
at “Royal Rumble 2017”.
This isn’t exactly surprising and it’s another women’s match on a card stacked with them. The women have been a highlight of the show and given how much space has to be given to Tag Team Turmoil and the Elimination Chamber itself, putting the women in the spotlight is about as smart of an idea as there is.
What have you thought of James’ return? Who does she feud with next? Let us know in the comments below.
