New #1 Contenders for Raw Tag Team Titles Crowned

You had to see this one coming. The “Monday Night Raw” tag team division is in an odd place. There are a lot of teams but as usual, it seems that only one team at a time can be built up as a real challenge to the Hardys. Coming into this week’s “Monday Night Raw”, we were in need of some new challengers to go after the belts.

This week on “Monday Night Raw”, Sheamus and Cesaro won a Tag Team Turmoil match, defeating four other teams to become the new #1 contenders. Sheamus and Cesaro earned all four eliminations with the final pinfall coming over Goldust of Golden Truth. The title shot will likely take place at “Extreme Rules 2017”.

Opinion: This wasn’t exactly a major surprise as Sheamus and Cesaro were having issues with the Hardys over a month ago and were still having issues after their heel turn after “Payback 2017”. I don’t think they win the titles as it’s hard to imagine anyone other than the Revival ending the Hardys’ run but it could make for an interesting match.
