It looks like we’ve finally seen the last of The Undertaker in WWE, as he retired following his match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33.

Back in November, there was a rumor going around which suggested that The Undertaker was going to face AJ Styles at either the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania. Sadly though, the rumor never ended up being true, and The Deadman retired before we could see him take on The Phenomenal One.

During a recent chat with Record Sport Online, AJ Styles — who is currently scheduled to take on Kevin Owens for the United States Championship at the upcoming Backlash show — commented on The Undertaker’s retirement, as he called it “heartbreaking.”

“I could tell you, I was emotional because he’s my friend. He and I have got a relationship. Both of us have the same friend who we’re very close to, so then he and I developed this relationship without even knowing each other that well. But, it was heartbreaking, because this is the guy that’s been here for so long, and has shaped the WWE into what it is now.”

The Undertaker makes perhaps his final WrestleMania entrance: WrestleMania 33 (WWE Network)
