Never Better: WWE Reportedly Sets All Time Record With MSG Live Event

Best in the world. WWE has been around for a very long time now and the company has some deep history. This includes some of the best and worst things that they have ever accomplished, which can make a new record all that bigger of a deal. The company seems to have set a new record this week and it is rather impressive given how many chances they have had.

On Tuesday night, WWE ran a live event in Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. According to Fightul Select, internal reports say that the event is the highest grossing domestic non-televised event in WWE history. The show, which was a sell out, featured CM Punk vs. Dominik Mysterio in Punk’s first WWE match since 2013, plus Cody Rhodes facing Shinsuke Nakamura in a bullrope match and Seth Rollins defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre.

Opinion: The higher ticket prices do play a huge actor of course, but at the end of the day, the fact that the show was this big of a hit, including a sellout, means a lot for WWE right now. The company is on fire and things keep getting better. That’s quite the development and now the question is where things go from here. At some point they have to go down, but for now, WWE is riding on high and they should enjoy it while they can.
