Maybe it’s the jet lag? Last night’s episode of “Monday Night Raw” aired on tape from London, England. The show helped with the build towards “Extreme Rules 2017” and featured Bray Wyatt vs. Dean Ambrose in the main event. However, the audience didn’t exactly seem very receptive.
According to Showbuzz Daily, last night’s show drew 2.696 million viewers, which is down from the 2.87 million from the previous week. This would be the lowest audience of the year, beating out the record which was set on May 2. The show was also hurt by the NBA Playoffs, which drew the top audience on cable.
Opinion: This isn’t exactly shocking as the overseas shows almost always draw very low numbers. Maybe it’s the knowledge that the shows aren’t going to be the most interesting or maybe it’s because the results are available online but there’s a certain spark missing from them. Either way, the shows aren’t big draws most of the time and this is no exception.
