He’s here to stay. To say the Miz has become a consistent player around the WWE is a drastic understatement. He’s almost always a champion of some form or another, often in the Intercontinental Title scene. Miz is a longstanding veteran of WWE and now it seems that he’s going to be around even longer.

According to PWInsider.com, Miz has signed a new four year contract with WWE, which will keep him with the company thru 2022. Miz, currently 37, would be approximately 41 years old when the deal expired. He is currently in his eighth reign as Intercontinental Champion, putting him a single reign behind Chris Jericho for the most all time. His reality show “Miz and Mrs.”, costarring his wife Maryse, will debut on the USA Network later this year.

Here’s what Miz had to say last night on “Monday Night Raw”.

Opinion: I’m very glad to see something like this as Miz is one of my favorite performers in WWE and I’m glad to see WWE having this much faith in him. Miz is a talented guy who has worked hard to get where he is today and that’s not going to change anytime soon. I’d love to see how high he can get back up on the WWE ladder.

What do you think of Miz? Could he become WWE Champion again? Let us know in the comments below.
