Well it has been a long time. With WrestleMania 35 three weeks away, it’s time for the annual game of “what about Brock Lesnar”. This has become one of the longest running yet somewhat predictable questions in wrestling: will Lesnar be sticking around WWE or going to the UFC? While the UFC seems interested in bringing him back in, we have another sign that he might be sticking around WWE.
According to Ringsidenews.com, a SmackDown Live ad aired on FOX Sunday afternoon and mentioned Lesnar appearing as a SmackDown star when the show moves to the new network in October. Lesnar has been a Monday Night Raw star since his return to the company in 2012 and has only appeared on SmackDown on very rare occasions. This also heavily suggests that Lesnar is staying with WWE after WrestleMania rather than jumping back to UFC.
Speaking of Lesnar on SmackDown. Check out this appearance from a few years back:
Opinion: You had to expect this one as there’s almost no reason to not have one of the biggest stars in the company on what is going to become the biggest show. Lesnar is the kind of guy who you have to stop and see, which is the type of attraction that FOX would love for the show. It would make perfect sense to have him around and WWE would be crazy not to pay him whatever he wanted for the spot.
