So two guys walk into the Cell. One of the major stories this week on “Smackdown Live” was the return of Vince McMahon to deal with the issues between his son Shane and Kevin Owens. These two have been getting more and more heated for weeks now and it was time to finally have something done about it.

In the big closing segment of the show, Vince did come out to address Owens, who was threatening to sue the company for everything it was worth over Shane’s actions. Vince said that he had suspended Shane for everything he had done, but most importantly for not fighting back hard enough. It was announced that Owens would face Shane inside Hell in a Cell at the pay per view of the same name next month. Owens attacked Vince and busted him open to end the show.

Here’s the announcement and ensuing attack:

Opinion: In what was a very strong closing segment, we got an announcement that wasn’t the biggest surprise in the world. This was a pretty obvious match for the last few weeks and that’s not the worst thing in the world. Owens getting to destroy Shane inside the Cell is one of the best things that you could have him do. If tonight’s segment is any indication, things should be picking up very nicely.
