I think this might get some people talking. Last month, WWE announced the first ever Evolution pay per view, which will feature an all women card. This instantly had people wondering what will be taking place on the show, which has already been confirmed to have every Women’s Title, including the NXT Women’s Title, on the line in addition to the finals of the Mae Young Classic and another big match. But what about the main event?
According to Wrestling Observer Radio by way of Wrestlinginc.com, the rumored main event for the upcoming Evolution pay per view will be Ronda Rousey vs. Nikki Bella. The match’s main appeal is the mainstream attention it should receive. Bella and Rousey are viewed as the two biggest stars in the division due to Rousey’s MMA background and Bella’s reality TV shows. Evolution takes place on October 28.
This is part of that mainstream appeal.
Opinion: Well that’s certainly one way to go. I’m not sure how thrilling a lot of fans will find this but it will get some mainstream attention. If nothing else, it gives Bella something else to talk about on her reality shows as she makes another comeback, which seems to be a recurring theme for her. This isn’t the most interesting match for the more hardcore fans but seeing Rousey stare Bella down could be amusing.
What do you think of this as the main event? Who will win? Let us know in the comments below.
