That’s a fast turnaround. Last week on “Monday Night Raw”, Braun Strowman destroyed Roman Reigns, requiring a trip to the hospital in an ambulance. That wasn’t enough for Strowman as he destroyed the ambulance as well with Reigns inside it. As you might expect, this set up a match down the road. It turns out that down the road is a bit closer than you would expect.

On this week’s episode of “Monday Night Raw”, General Manager Kurt Angle announced that Strowman will face Reigns at “Payback 2017” on April 30. Reigns wasn’t advertised to appear on this week’s TV show and there is no word on if he’ll appear next week either. He did appear at house shows over the last week.

Opinion: “Payback 2017” is about as early as you could bring Reigns back without things seeming ridiculous. It would also be ridiculous to have Reigns win this match, though I’m not sure how smart it is to have him retire Undertaker and then lose a pay per view match later in the month. This is the right call though if you just have to do the match with Strowman this soon.
