Well so much for that. Starting back at Survivor Series, a series of vignettes started airing showing that Lars Sullivan was coming up from NXT. Sullivan is a monster in the classic sense with great size and strength while also looking incredibly scary. That’s the kind of person that WWE knows how to use and they even had some big plans for him. Now though, things have changed a bit.
According to Cagesideseats.com, the previous announced storyline with Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live bidding on Sullivan with an eventual debut at the Royal Rumble has been dropped. With the McMahons running both shows, there is no reason to have the brands bidding over him. There is no word on when Sullivan is going to be debuting on the main roster at the moment.
I’d say he’s worth a bid. Check out what the main roster is in for when Sullivan arrives:
Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised at this and it’s one of the drawbacks to the whole McMahon angle. Everything has changed all of a sudden and it’s kind of annoying to have had things built up for a few weeks dropped for the sake of the McMahon’s being the big focal point all over again. Sullivan will be fine, but it’s still something I wanted to see play out instead of just having him show up one day.
