Since one isn’t enough. The Usos and the New Day have had an outstanding rivalry over the last few months with several pay per view title matches between the two teams. Their most recent efforts were incredibly well received and there’s no reason to believe that their match at “Hell in a Cell 2017” won’t be just as good. However, there’s a bit of a twist included.
As announced tonight on “Smackdown Live”, New Day will be defending their Smackdown Tag Team Titles against the Usos inside the show’s namesake Cell. New Day most recently won the titles from the Usos in a street fight on “Smackdown Live” two weeks ago. The match was already set before the stipulation was announced.
Here’s how the Usos lost the titles just a few weeks ago.
The Usos vs. The New Day - SmackDown Tag Team Title Street Fight: SmackDown LIVE, Sept. 12, 2017
Opinion: This is hardly a surprise and there’s nothing wrong with going this way. New Day and the Usos have been on a roll as of late and there’s no reason to not put them inside the Cell for the big blowoff to their feud. It’s the right call but it needs to be the final match between the teams.
