This was the least that the locker room could do.

According to the latest episode of the WrestlingInc Podcast, former WWE and TNA superstar Matt Morgan said that Cesaro received a backstage standing ovation after he returned from his match at “No Mercy.” He was teaming with Sheamus to take on Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins for the “Raw” Tag Team Championships.

However, during the match, Ambrose catapulted Cesaro into the corner, which caused him to hit his face on the ring post. As a result, he began bleeding profusely, and even chipped a couple of teeth in the incident.

Nevertheless, the “Swiss Superman” continued the match, which lasted another 11 minutes.

Cesaro received three stitches to close the cut, and will be undergoing dental surgery very soon.

Editor’s Note:

I always knew Cesaro was tough, but this brings my respect for him to a whole new level. He is clearly the ultimate professional; he could have easily walked away and said that he couldn’t finish the match, but he toughed it out and still competed at a very high level. Mad props to you, sir. Well done.
