They can come out of nowhere, as you never know how banged up someone might be, which might require them to take time off. That was the situation with a current WWE Superstar, but she made a special appearance while recovering from injury.

Asuka made a surprise appearance at the WWE Live Event in Osaka, Japan earlier this week, appearing with her Damage CTRL stablemates before their match and cutting a promo for the live crowd. This comes as Asuka has been out of action since May due to a knee injury and it is not clear when she will be able to return to the ring. Her most recent match took place at Backlash on May 4.

Opinion: That is a nice treat for the live fans, as Osaka is not only Asuka’s hometown but she would be quite a draw for the show. Even if she can’t get in the ring, having her show up for a quick cameo is better than nothing. It will be great to have her back in the ring one day, but unfortunately that might be a long time off given how badly she seems to have hurt her knee.
