Be patient. The WWE world was turned upside down last week when CM Punk made a surprise return to the company after nearly ten years away. That opened up all kinds of doors for new matches and some of them felt like they could be among the biggest things WWE had to offer. One such feud has already been hyped up, but we might not be seeing it for a good while.

Earlier this week, a new report said that WWE was interested in a feud between Punk and Roman Reigns, though it was not clear when this would happen. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is planning on waiting a long time to get to the match with no date, or even an approximation, mentioned. Opinion: This isn’t a big surprise as you don’t want Punk to lose a major match so soon. The only other option would be to have Punk be the one to slay Reigns after three plus years and that isn’t the best look either. For now at least, just the idea of the match coming down the line is good enough, as is the case with just about everything Punk is likely to be doing in the future.
