He might not have too many left. Kurt Angle is one of those wrestlers who just won’t stay out of the ring. No matter how banged up his body is, Angle keeps getting back in the ring and trying his best. While he’s certainly not at his peak anymore and can’t reach his former level, he certainly wants to give it a shot. So, with so few matches left in his career, who does he want to face?
In a Facebook Q&A, Angle was asked which current wrestlers he would be most interested in facing. Angle only listed two names, including NXT’s Velveteen Dream and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Kenny Omega, though there is no reason to believe that either of these matches will be taking place. Angle’s most recent match was a loss to Drew McIntyre this week on Monday Night Raw and his next match is currently unknown.
Here’s Angle’s most recent effort.
Opinion: Angle has some good taste. Omega is the easy one, but Dream is someone you might not have seen coming. It’s not exactly surprising though, as Angle has always been one to be there to help lift up some younger talent. He did it with John Cena and several other names during his time in Impact Wrestling. I’m not sure when Angle is going to be wrestling again, but it’s likely to be a big deal.
