So how are you this week? Things are really starting to pick up on “Monday Night Raw” and the fact that they’ve started adding matches is a big reason why. Last night’s show featured an announced triple threat match between Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman, all of whom will challenge Brock Lesnar at “Summerslam 2017”. The question is how well did that draw.

According to Showbuzz Daily, very well actually. The show drew an average of 3.163 million people, up 3% from last week’s 3.067 million. While the increase is nice, the more important aspect is the fact that it’s the highest audience since April 17, over three months ago. In addition to the triple threat, the biggest story was Jason Jordan appearing on MizTV.

Opinion: I really do think a lot of this has to do with announcing things in advance. Instead of fans wondering what WWE might do, they already know what’s coming a week in advance and will probably remember to watch the show as a result. That sounds a lot better than “oh I’ll see what happens tonight if I remember to watch”. It’s a better way and in theory, these numbers back that up.
