The original Iconic Duo. Next week’s episode of “Monday Night Raw” will be the special 25th Anniversary show, featuring a host of returning stars and big names from the company’s past. The show will also be broadcast from two different locations. As luck would have it, we know which special guests will be broadcasting from one of those places.
WWE has announced that Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler will be reuniting to broadcast at least part of the upcoming special. Ross and Lawler broadcast the show for the better part of ten years with only a few gaps in between. They last called an episode of “Monday Night Raw” on November 14, 2011. Here’s the video announcement:
Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler to be reunited for Raw 25: Exclusive, Jan. 15, 2018
Opinion: This feels right. I’m not sure how else to put it: there’s a good feeling about having Ross and Lawler on commentary for this show. They’re the undisputed voices of “Monday Night Raw” and it’s the right idea to have these two doing commentary. I know Michael Cole has been on commentary for a very long time but Ross is the one that most people are going to associate with the show and Lawler being there with him completes the package.
Do you like Ross and Lawler as the commentary team? What other names do you want to see on the show? Let us know in the comments below.
