This sounds really, really bad.

According to a report from PWInsider, a major injury occurred at the set of Impact tapings that could be very damaging in the long term.

From the report:

During the taping, Eddie Edwards defeated Sami Callihan. After the match, Sami attacked Eddie. Callihan placed a chair on Eddie and hit it with his baseball bat. Unfortunately, the bat ricocheted off the chair and smacked Eddie across the top of his head.

Edwards immediately walked away, grabbing his head.  When he returned to the locker room, we are told there was a “ton of blood.”  Edwards was immediately taken to the hospital.

We will continue to monitor this story and provide any updates as they become available to us.

Editor’s Opinion:

Oh man, this sounds absolutely awful. You never like hearing about a wrestler getting hurt, but when weapons are involved, it becomes even worse. I hope that he is OK, and that the medical staff is able to fix whatever injuries he might have sustained.
