Intercontinental Title Match Set for Next Week’s “Monday Night Raw”

Here he goes again on his own. After there was no Intercontinental Title match at “Summerslam 2017”, it’s time for the title to get a bit of a boost. That’s what we’ll be getting next week as Kurt Angle announced a battle royal to crown a new #1 contender to the title. So who is getting the title shot in Omaha?

This week on “Monday Night Raw”, Jeff Hardy won the battle royal, earning a title shot against Miz next week. Hardy was one of fifteen men involved in the battle royal with Jason Jordan being the last man eliminated. Finn Balor was also involved but was eliminated by an interfering Bray Wyatt.

Opinion: I can go with this. There’s no secret that Hardy is a bigger star than his brother and with the tag division in the shape that it’s in, I don’t think anyone expected the Hardys to survive all that long as a team. If Jeff is starting to get a singles push, it’s going to be interesting to see what happens to his brother Matt. While I don’t think Jeff wins the title next week, it’s nice to see him getting a chance.
