That’s a long time. There are certain things that can wreck a wrestler’s career and put everything they are doing on the shelf. One of the worst possible options is an injury as you never know when you are going to see someone taken out of action. Unfortunately that was the case last year and it could be quite a long time before we get to see them back in the ring again.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: Roman Reigns Could Be Gone From WWE TV For A Rather Long Time
Back in September 2023, Adam Cole suffered an ankle injury while attempting to save Maxwell Jacob Friedman from Samoa Joe. Cole has not wrestled since and has undergone surgery to repair the damage. According to Fightful Select, Cole is not close to returning to the ring and there is no word on when he will be cleared. Cole has also been pulled from AEW TV as his appearances with the Undisputed Kingdom were hurting his recovery. Cole will be making appearances, but they will not be as frequent.
Cole is a star when he is around. Check out what he has done in AEW:
Opinion: That isn’t the biggest surprise but it is also rather disappointing to hear. Cole has already been out of action for almost seven months and he could be out of action even longer. Hopefully he is able to get back in the ring sooner than later, but that does not seem likely given what he is going through at the moment. Cole is a major star in AEW and it will be a big deal when he gets back, though that might be a long way off.
What do you think of Cole’s time in AEW? What should he do when he returns? Let us know in the comments below.
