That’s one way to go. WrestleMania is a different form of wrestling show as things are set up a bit further in advance. With so many extra eyes watching the show, it makes sense for WWE to go all out in trying to make things work so well. That means extra care is going to be put into the storytelling and now we know the direction that WWE wants to take with one of its stories.
One of the biggest stories taking place at WrestleMania is the SmackDown Women’s Title match as Sasha Banks defends against Royal Rumble winner Bianca Belair. There are several different ways to go with that kind of a story and so far, the story has heavily involved the Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, with Belair and Banks having limited interaction of their own. We might know something about how that time is supposed to go.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Banks is supposed to be the villain in the story between the two. This comes after Banks cut a promo on Talking Smack which made her seem to be the villain. The main point of the story has been Belair trying to become the star of the division because she is the EST of WWE. The match has officially been announced for WrestleMania 37.
This has been a big feud. Check out how we got here:
Opinion: This is an interesting way to go between the two of them as Banks is much better as a heel and someone who can do more than a few good things in the role. Hopefully Banks and Belair get to work on their own sooner rather than later because the stuff with Baszler and Jax have not exactly felt like anything interesting. Just get something that works a bit better, which should be right there in front of them.
