That’s a rather nice thing to do. You can’t look anywhere at this point without seeing some news about the Coronavirus. There are very few positive stories around and that is the case with professional wrestling as well. With so many bad things going on, it would be nice to see something good for the industry for a change and that is the case, albeit from a place you might not have thought of for awhile.
One of the biggest issues with having wrestling companies stop running shows is the lack of wrestlers being paid. There are a lot of wrestlers who are going to be out of work because there are no places for them to go while the Coronavirus is on the rampage. That is the kind of thing that can change the industry in a horrible way, but one company is doing something rather nice.
Current Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champion Ethan Page sent out a tweet thanking Impact Wrestling for paying the wrestlers for the shows that were canceled throughout the end of March. The wrestlers are paid on a per appearance basis, meaning that they are only going to be paid when they work. It is not clear how long Impact Wrestling will be paying its talent, but they will at least be paid for canceled shows from the end of this month.
Want everyone to know @IMPACTWRESTLING is paying the per-day talent for the cancelled events happening @ the end of March
Just incase the sheets wants a heart warming story … instead of assuming the worst ?
Thanks @EdNordholm / @ScottDAmore my family appreciate it ??? pic.twitter.com/RO7zKkpzM7

Opinion: This is one of those things that should make you smile as it’s people with the ability to do so helping out those who can’t do as much at the moment. Impact Wrestling doesn’t have to do this but the wrestlers need the help right now and it’s great to see something like this. Hopefully this doesn’t have to be the case at the moment but you never know how long it might be.
How cool is it of Impact Wrestling to do this? Has the North impressed you so far? Let us know in the comments below.
