Impact Wrestling Reportedly Leaving Pop TV At The End Of The Year

Vagabond Championship Wrestling? Over the last few months, Impact Wrestling has started to pick things up a little bit. The wrestling has gotten better and more importantly, the storytelling has firmed up a lot. Things should be looking up, but for some reason things aren’t exactly clicking on the other side. The viewership hasn’t gone up, and now things are starting to look bad.

According to PWInsider, Impact Wrestling is looking for a new television home to replace Pop TV. Last month, the show was moved from its usual 8pm time slot to 10pm, resulting in the audience falling apart. Pop TV only told the company of the time change a week before it took place. Impact Wrestling’s contract with the network reportedly ends on December 31, leaving them with seven episodes after this week’s show.

Opinion: Impact Wrestling has jumped all over the place almost since its debut and it seems to be the case again. At the end of the day, you can’t raise your audience and build anything special with such a small audience and it’s not going to grow on a low level network like Pop TV. The show isn’t in a good place though, as it was replaced by reruns of the Gilmore Girls. That can’t be a good sign.
