Rumor: Update On A Major Push For Drew McIntyre

The next big thing? At the moment, the top spot in WWE is pretty much vacant. While both World Titles are held by wrestlers, neither of them exactly feel like major stars. That leaves a big hole open for someone to take over under the right circumstances. There are some people who are very strong possibilities. One name seems to stand above the rest though, both figuratively and in some cases, literally.

According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, McIntyre could be used for a major push down the line, possibly coming in 2019. Vince McMahon is reportedly very high on McIntyre and Triple H has worked with him as well. The current pairing with Dolph Ziggler could be used to turn McIntyre into something much bigger down the line. McIntyre won a major match this week on Monday Night Raw by defeating Kurt Angle via submission.

Opinion: Well if they just have to. I’ve been a big McIntyre fan for a long time now so this is rather good news to hear. McIntyre has everything you could need in a top star and there is a big gap on top of the roster with Roman Reigns out of the picture. I’m not sure if McIntyre is going to get the rocket push that seems possible for him, but it’s certainly fun to imagine it happening.
