Hurry Up? Rey Mysterio Reveals Plans For In-Ring Return Following Knee Surgery

That’s kind of fast. There are all kinds of injuries that can take someone out of action and the question becomes how long it is going to be before they get back in the ring. The waiting can be horrible for everyone, but it’s a very nice feeling when you hear that they are on their way back. That appears to be the situation with one of the biggest names in wrestling history as he has a goal in mind.

WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio appeared on the Bakers Bantering podcast and revealed that he is hoping to return to the ring by the Royal Rumble later this month. If Mysterio can not make that date, he is hoping to be back shortly thereafter. Mysterio is currently out of action following knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus. His most recent match took place on November 4, 2023.

Opinion: That is good to hear and ties into the timetable that Mysterio had for his original injury. What matters is getting Mysterio back to full health, as he is already 49 years old and has a long history of injuries. For now though, things are starting to come back together and it would be great to see him back in the ring. If nothing else, he owes Santos Escobar for injuring him so we have a feud set up.
