Hopefully It’s Not Bad. Current WWE Champion Injured.

Please don’t be bad. The Bludgeon Brothers, reigning WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions of Harper and Rowan are one of the most common ideas in the history of wrestling: two big, strong guys who can beat the fire out of almost anyone. It’s an idea that has always worked and that’s for a very good reason: it’s so simple that any decent power sized wrestler can pull it off. That’s the case at the moment, but something might stand in their way.

According to PWInsider.com, Rowan suffered an arm injury during last night’s Tag Team Title match against the New Day. The injury is thought to be a biceps injury but the specific details aren’t clear. Rowan wasn’t in action at the SmackDown Live house show on Monday and a Tag Team Title match against New Day has been announced for tomorrow night’s TV show. There is currently no word on how much, if any, time Rowan will miss.

Hopefully this can happen more often.

Opinion: I really hope this isn’t anything serious as the Bludgeon Brothers seems to finally be the big break that these two needed. Harper in particular has been trying to get things working for a very long time now and I hope this isn’t the end of the team’s current run. On top of that, it’s not like the SmackDown Live tag team division can handle losing its top team at the moment, given that the division has all of four teams.
