Well ok then. The Intercontinental Title has been very active in the last year or so, with Seth Rollins holding and losing it multiple times. That’s made for some interesting television as you never can tell who is going to come up with it next. Dean Ambrose recently took the title from Rollins, but given how the title has been going as of late, there was a good chance he wouldn’t hold it for very long.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Bobby Lashley defeated Ambrose and Rollins in a triple threat match to become the new Intercontinental Champion. This is Lashley’s first reign as champion and the first title he has won in WWE in over eleven years. Lashley pinned Ambrose after a spear, which was set up b several instances of interference from Lio Rush during the match.
It was a pretty surprising match so we don’t have much to go on. Here are all three in action last week:
Opinion: That’s certainly surprising and I’m not exactly thrilled with the title change. Lashley is fine for someone to slay but he hasn’t really been doing much as of late. He lost the feud to Elias and hasn’t picked up anything new since, but now he’s the Intercontinental Champion? I mean…sure why not. Lashley will be fine and someone beating a monster like him will work well enough, but it’s still a little random.
What do you think of Lashley winning the title? Who will take it from him? Let us know in the comments below.
