He might be around. There have been several returns to WWE in recent weeks, including a few major names who could make a big impact. Having a wrestler of that caliber back can be a huge deal for WWE and it makes all the difference to have them around for a good while. It seems that one of them might be around even longer than he had previously expected to be.

Randy Orton made his return to WWE at Survivor Series, helping his team win the men’s WarGames match. According to Fightful Select, a WWE higher-up said that he would be surprised if Orton’s contract was not extended due to his year and a half absence due to back surgery. WWE contracts are not always extended if wrestlers do other work for the company during their time away, but that was not the case for Orton. While the exact date is not known, the extension would move the end of Orton’s contract to some point in 2026.
Orton has had quite the WWE career. Check out what he has done for the company over the years:
Opinion: Yeah it makes sense for WWE to extend the contract for that long, as a year and a half is quite a good while for someone to be out of action. Orton is one of the biggest stars WWE has ever had and if he is going to be around in a year and a half, it would be nuts for WWE to not lock him down for as long as they can. It’s nice to have Orton back and if WWE has their way, he could be around for a rather long time to come.
