That’s never a good thing. You never know when you might see someone suffering an injury in wrestling. It happens to everyone at some point and there is almost no way around such a thing. The worst part is they can come up at any time with no advance warning, often coming during a run of the mill match in a spot that someone has done hundreds of times. As it turns out, another WWE name is going under the knife.
As posted on his Instagram page, Jinder Mahal has announced that he has undergone knee surgery to repair a ruptured patella tendon. The injury took place during a match at a live event in Denver, Colorado against Ali on June 15. At the moment, there is no word on how long Mahal will be out of the ring. His most recent televised match took place on in the Super ShowDown battle royal on June 7.
Mahal has certainly wrestled the big matches before. Check out his effort against one of the all time greats:
Opinion: I’m not a Mahal fan but that’s a horrible thing to have happen. It seems to have been a normal match and out of nowhere, he has to go through a pretty severe surgery and miss some ring time. I know Mahal hasn’t been doing much since losing the WWE Championship, but having to miss this much time due to an injury is never good for anyone at all.
Has Mahal grown on you? What should he do when he gets back? Let us know in the comments below.
