What Happened Before And After SmackDown Live?

It’s better than nothing. This week on SmackDown Live, two matches consisting of fourteen people were put together the night of the show. One match took place as a result of a brawl and another was the result of a match that was broken up by interference. With so many people taking up so much time on the show, a lot of people didn’t make the card. Thank goodness for dark matches though right?

According to Wrestlinginc.com, there was a dark match both before and after tonight’s TV tapings. Before the show, Becky Lynch and Naomi teamed up to defeat the Iconics when Peyton Royce tapped out to the Disarm-Her. All four appeared as lumberjacks during SmackDown Live. After the show was over, Jeff Hardy successfully defened the United States Title against the Miz with the Swanton Bomb. Both were on the show as well with Hardy losing a tag match and Miz hosting MizTV.

Opinion: That US Title match is becoming a standard around the post show dark match and that’s not the worst thing in the world. Hardy is one of the most popular singles stars on the show and it’s so easy to boo Miz that it’s kind of a perfect setup. The four women are great choices to get the energy going as well so it’s pretty much as good of a one-two combination as you’re going to get.
