The big name for the big show. A story that has kind of been forgotten about in recent weeks is SmackDown Live moving over to the FOX Network next year. This is going to instantly make SmackDown Live a bigger show, not the biggest in all of WWE. With that kind of move comes demands from the network, and they seem to have another one in mind.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, FOX wants Ronda Rousey to be part of the SmackDown Live roster when the show moves to the new network. FOX wants to push WWE as a legitimate sport and having Rousey on the show will lend it credibility. Rousey is a former UFC Champion as well as an Olympic bronze medalist and would be seen as a major asset to the show.

Rousey has been a force in WWE since her debut. Check out her most recent title defense in dominant fashion:

Opinion: This makes perfect sense and I can’t really see WWE having an issue obliging. Rousey is one of the biggest stars in wrestling and still has some mainstream notoriety. Having her as one of the faces of the FOX show would make a lot of sense and you can almost guarantee that she’s on the blue side before next fall. Isn’t that what the Superstar Shakeup is for?
