That’s quite the gap. One of the most controversial stories coming out of last week was the cancellation of “Talking Smack”. The popular show was taken off the air due to Vince McMahon not being pleased by what he saw during a taping of the show. There’s some other news on the show though and it comes from a name you might not have thought of in a long time.

WWE Champion Jinder Mahal on the return of Great Khali and his win: WWE Talking Smack, July 23, 2017

According to former manager/wrestler/ECW General Manager Armando Alejandro Estrada via his Twitter, he pitched the idea of “Talking Smack” to Vince McMahon back in 2011. The company was looking for content for what would become known as the WWE Network and Estrada drove to a TV taping to pitch the show, which eventually became “Talking Smack”.

Opinion: I have no idea if Estrada actually came up with the idea or not but it’s a cool story. Estrada was a good manager and it’s entirely possible that he came up with the concept and that McMahon went with his push. If nothing else, this just makes me miss the show even more as it was quite the breath of fresh air for WWE.

Did you like Estrada’s time in WWE? Do you think “Talking Smack” will ever return full time? Let us know in the comments below.
