Go big. As soon as the Punjabi Prison match was announced for “Battleground 2017”, fans started thinking about the original pair of matches, both of which were built around Great Khali (even if he wasn’t in one of the matches). The question became would he show up for the third edition.

As it turns out, yes he did. Great Khali appeared at the end of the match and preventing Randy Orton from escaping the Pubjabi Prison, allowing Smackdown World Champion Jinder Mahal to retain. There is no word if Great Khali will be sticking around or if he’ll be having a match in WWE.

The Great Khali returns to assist Jinder Mahal in his Punjabi Prison Match: WWE Battleground 2017

Opinion: It’s not the biggest surprise in the world as Great Khali has been named dropped a few times in recent weeks. The appearance might lead to a match or two, perhaps even against Orton at “Summerslam 2017”, but there’s also a good chance that he’ll have his match on an episode of “Smackdown Live”.

Are you glad Great Khali is back? How long do you think he’ll be around for? Let us know in the comments below.
