That’s quite the surprise. Since “Impact Wrestling’s” recent relaunch, the top story has arguably been Josh Matthews vs. Jeremy Borash in a battle of the announcers. This has led to a tag match at “Slammiversary 2017” with both announcers picking a partner. It now seems that we know who the partners will be and one of them is a big name making his return.

Earlier this week at the TV tapings, Joseph Park (formerly known as Abyss) came out to help Borash, seemingly making him Borash’s partner at the pay per view. At Sunday’s tapings, Scott Steiner made his return to the company and attacked Park, making himself Matthews’ partner. This is a surprise as Steiner has a bad history with the company’s previous owners, including lawsuits that were still in court as of last February.

Opinion: Uh….wow. I’m really not sure what to think of this but the pictures do show one thing: Steiner is MUCH smaller than he was back in his in-ring career. I actually got to meet him earlier this month at WrestleCon and thought he looked much smaller. I’m not sure how well this is going to work in a match but it’s certainly going to be interesting.
