There is room for everyone. AEW has offered the wrestling world quite a bit in their short existence. In addition to offering a fresh national promotion on a major platform, they also have given a lot of wrestlers a new place to work. That helps a lot as there are all kinds of wrestlers who might not fit in the WWE system for one reason or another. Now, a big name has made his AEW debut.
There are a lot of big stars in the wrestling world and several of them have nothing to do with WWE. Maybe some of those wrestlers have wrestled in WWE before but they may get something bigger out of wrestling elsewhere. That can make for some interesting surprises as you never know who might pop up outside of WWE. That was the case again on Saturday night.
During the pre-show for AEW Revolution, former NWA World Champion Colt Cabana made his AEW debut. Cabana interfered after the pre-show match in an attempt to save SCU from an attack at the hands of the Dark Order. It is not known if this is just a one off appearance or a full time contract for Cabana, who recently left Ring of Honor. Revolution was taking place in Cabana’s hometown of Chicago.
It was a big surprise. Check out Cabana’s debut:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that serves as a nice surprise appearance and that’s all it seemed like it was supposed to be. Cabana could be a nice hand for the company, though I don’t know if he’s going to be sticking around. Either way, it’s cool to see someone like Cabana show up as it lets the fans have a nice thrill before we get to the serious stuff. They could make some far worse picks and have before so well done.
