Welcome back. With the recent relaunch of “Impact Wrestling”, it was clear that we would be getting a lot of fresh talent to help bolster the new direction. While some of these would be names that we haven’t seen before, some of the older names would also be familiar names to the company. One such name returned tonight and had a good first night back.
This week on “Impact Wrestling”, Low Ki returned and won a six way match to become the new X-Division Champion. Low Ki defeated Desmond Xavier, Andrew Everett, Suicide, Sonjay Dutt and reigning champion Trevor Lee. This is Low Ki’s return to the company after a two year absence and his fifth X-Division Title reign.
Opinion: I’ve never been a Low Ki fan and I’m not wild seeing him with the title again but he’s certainly someone we haven’t seen in a good while, which is something that helps the X-Division. The major drawback to Low Ki is his reputation for leaving companies in a hurry so there’s a chance that this won’t be the longest run in the world.
