Even though we usually can see it, sometimes confirmation is a good thing.

According to a new report from Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer told us that Braun Strowman on “Monday Night Raw,” and Baron Corbin on “Smackdown Live” are being built as the top heels on both shows. He also noted that Corbin is being seen as the bigger main event talent within the company.

AJ Styles vs. Baron Corbin: SmackDown LIVE, April 18, 2017

Leading up to WrestleMania, Corbin was in a program with Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Championship. He most recently lost to AJ Styles in the main event of last week’s “Smackdown Live.”

As for Braun Strowman, he is currently scheduled to face Roman Reigns at “Payback” later this month. He closed last week’s episode of “Monday Night Raw” by superplexing The Big Show to the mat, which caused the ring to collapse.

Editor’s Note:

I have been saying for a while that “The Lone Wolf” is one of the best talents that “Smackdown Live” has. While I don’t think that he’ll be a champion in 2017, he certainly will be in 2018. As for Strowman, I expect the same thing: he’ll be a champion in 2018.
