To the injured list with you. One of the few things that can slow down any wrestler is an injury. Some are more severe than others, but going onto the sidelines because something is wrong with you is going to hurt anyone. Even if you’re not being regularly featured on TV, it’s never a good thing to have. It’s happened again, and this time it’s going to affect more than one person.
According to Dave Meltzer Wrestling Observer Radio, Akam of the AOP has suffered a knee injury and will be out for at least a few months. The AOP haven’t wrestled on television since December 17 and Akam’s most recent match took place at a house show on January 6. There is no word on how Akam was injured, when the injury originally took place or what kind of leg injury it is.
That’s rather sad. Here’s a happier AOP moment of destruction:
Opinion: That’s quite the shame for the AOP as they’re not really a team that is going to do much on their own. Rezar could have a match or two without Akam but I can’t imagine that being the case on television very often. They’re a good monster team and when healthy, should be right back in the Tag Team Title hunt. Hopefully this isn’t too bad and Akam is back in the ring sooner rather than later.
What do you think of the AOP? Will they win the Tag Team Titles again? Let us know in the comments below.
