That would make good sense. Back at Summerslam 2016, Finn Balor won the Universal Title in a great match against Seth Rollins. During the match, Balor wrecked his shoulder and was put on the shelf for about eight months. After he was back from injury, he never reached the same peak again, despite several fans calling for him to get such a push again. Well maybe it’s time to change things.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Balor is in for a big and long push in the coming weeks. Balor recently defeated Drew McIntyre at TLC in a big win. The push comes at a time when Monday Night Raw doesn’t have much in the way of top faces due to Roman Reigns being out dealing with his leukemia, leaving Seth Rollins as the only major face on the show.
I think this could get him somewhere. In case you’ve forgotten how awesome it is, check out the incredible Demon entrance:
Opinion: Really, this makes as much sense as anything else. Even though Balor was only World Champion for about twenty four hours, he’s still someone who is over with the crowd and someone who could play a major role on Monday Night Raw for a long time. He has the look, the skills and the Demon to really make things that much better. With the right push, Balor could become far bigger than ever assumed.
