Last one. Retirement is a strange concept in wrestling, as you never know when someone is going to walk away from the ring for good. Wrestlers will often say that their in-ring career is over but come back again once or twice down the line. Some of them stay gone though and now we will get to see if another former WWE star will be staying away after announcing his retirement.

Former WWE and Impact Wrestling star Gunner (better known as Jaxson Ryker in WWE) has announced his retirement from the ring. Gunner, 41 years old, wrestled at an AML Wrestling event on Sunday August 27 and left his boots in the ring after the match. This comes a few months after Gunner had announced that he was stepping away from the ring to work on personal projects.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you see every so often and it brings up some memories of a wrestler’s career. Gunner was not a top start in WWE but he was a big enough deal in Impact Wrestling. He could have been something a bit bigger with a different kind of push. There is always the chance that he could return to the ring, but for now, this seems to be it for his career.
