Even Better: Rhea Ripley Reveals Quite The Detail About Her WrestleMania Match With Becky Lynch

She did it anyway. WrestleMania 40 has come and gone and as is the case with any WrestleMania, it is going to be talked about for years to come. There were all kinds of matches at the event and some of them were quite the spectacles. The show can be made even more interesting when you find out some of the backstage situations and one of them is rather impressive.

The opening match of WrestleMania 40 Night One saw Rhea Ripley successfully defend the WWE Women’s World Title against Becky Lynch. Ripley spoke at a panel at WWE World and, according to Fightful, revealed that she had suffered a panic attack hours before the match took place. She said she was shaking uncontrollably but once she stepped through the curtain, “all those nerves that I had just sort of flew away.” Ripley has now held the title for over a year, winning it at WrestleMania XXXIX.

Opinion: Ripley continues to feel like a special talent and that is not something you see very often. At the end of the day, she just walked into one of the biggest matches of her career while dealing with a mental health issue and then made it work to near perfection. That is not something a lot of people can do and she managed to pull it off with no indication that anything was wrong.
