He’s back. John Cena is one of the biggest names of all time, though he’s virtually not a professional wrestler again. Anymore, he’s only a part time wrestler at best but those appearances mean quite a bit both for the company as well as the fans in the arena. Cena is on his way back to WWE for a short term run, and one of his matches took place at the World’s Most Famous Arena.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, Cena returned to action at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Wednesday night. Cena wrestled on the show, defeating Baron Corbin in the process. Corbin had defeated the still injured Braun Strowman via forfeit, but Vince McMahon appeared and said that Corbin had another opponent. Cena is currently scheduled to appear on next week’s Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live.
It was quite a way to set things up. Check out Santa McMahon announcing Cena’s return:
Opinion: Cena is one of those people who can be dropped into anything and it’s going to make the whole thing that much bigger by definition. He’s one of the biggest names of all time and makes anyone, including Corbin, feel that much bigger. I don’t think he’s going to be around for very long, but at least he’s going to be around and make things better while he’s in WWE at the moment.
