They do have experience with each other. Brock Lesnar is not like other wrestlers for so many reasons that you can pick any two and be right. Over the last several years, he has become the ultimate special attraction in WWE and having him around can help things in a way. As it turns out, there is something else that WWE wants him to do and it’s a perfect role for him.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Monday Night Raw Creative Director Paul Heyman wants Lesnar to become the next monster who shows up and destroys people on occasion. This role is currently played by Goldberg and is pattered after Bruno Sammartino’s run with the company in the 1980s. The feeling is that when Goldberg stops wrestling, Lesnar can take the role from him.
This is what happens when these two get together. Check out Goldberg’s showdown with Lesnar:
Opinion: I’m not sure how much different this is than what Lesnar has been doing for years now. There is no secret to the fact that Lesnar is not a full time wrestler and that he only makes the occasional appearance. That might not seem like much, but bringing him in as a special surprise, including as a possible face, could be interesting. It is certainly something that works for Goldberg, so maybe Lesnar can do it as well.
Do you think Lesnar would fit the role? Who would you like to see him face? Let us know in the comments below.
