The tradition continues. Starting back in 2003, WWE started running an annual show in honor of the United States military. The annual Tribute to the Troops show has evolved over the years and is now regularly held in the United States. Today, the details of the 2017 edition were released.

According to PWInsider.com, this year’s Tribute to the Troops will be filmed at the “Smackdown Live” tapings in San Diego, California on December 5. There is no word on when the show will air but it is almost always about a week to ten days before Christmas. The show will be a joint production of “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown Live”.

Here’s a pretty traditional example of what will happen at the show:

Opinion: This show is a great tradition from WWE, though I definitely prefer the versions held overseas with the very unique outdoor venue. My biggest issue is that it feels like any given house show instead of something that actually comes across as unique. Well that and the musical acts, which rarely do much for me in general.
