Come On Up: NXT Star Reportedly Earns Promotion To The Main Roster Following Recent Title Match

He earned it. WWE has a lot of resources, with one of its most important being the NXT developmental system. NXT runs a national television show and as a result, wrestlers are able to get more than their feet wet on a big stage. As a result, you can see several WWE stars getting a chance to get ready in front of a camera and they will often earn a promotion. It appears that another has done just that.

Last week on Monday Night Raw, Dragon Lee unsuccessfully challenged Dominik Mysterio for the NXT North American Title. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lee impressed WWE officials so much that he is now part of the main roster. Lee appeared on this week’s SmackDown, defeating Austin Theory. Lee debuted with WWE earlier this year and his deal indicated that he would be able to be on the main roster in less than a year.

Opinion: After Lee’s match against Mysterio on Monday Night Raw, it is no surprise that he earned a promotion. Lee looked like one of the better high fliers in a good while and WWE is pushing him as quite the star. It could be very interesting to see what he can do now that he is on the main roster full time, as he certainly has the talent to make this kind of a run work.
