That wasn’t the plan. Wrestling promotions will announce matches in advance most of the time but there is no guarantee that they will be able to go forward as planned. That can make for some surprise changes, many of which are beyond the promotion’s control. Unfortunately that seems to be the case again, as a scheduled match did not wind up taking place.

AEW had announced a match between Brian Cage and Komander for this weekend’s edition of AEW Collision but it never took place. AEW President Tony Khan announced that the match was not taking place due to injury, though he did not specify who was hurt. Cage posted to Twitter, apologizing to the fans and saying he was looking forward to having the match later. No rescheduled date has been announced.
Due to late injury, this @KomandercrMX vs @briancagegmsi match has been postponed. Thank you all watching #AEWCollision tonight on TNT! https://t.co/dR3Vj8HAvi

They’re both good. Check out the two of them in action:
Opinion: This is one of those things that just happens every so often but that doesn’t make it any better. The match could have been a good one if it had gotten to take place but there is no way it can happen if one of them is unable to compete. Hopefully both of them are able to get back in the ring sooner than later, as both of them are rather good at what they do when they get the chance.
What did you expect from the match? What is next for both of them? Let us know in the comments below.
