He won’t be back. There have been all kinds of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history and some of them have not exactly had a spotless record. While a wrestler might be a success in front of the camera, things might not be so great elsewhere. Now one of the more controversial stars in the company’s history is rumored to becoming back, but things are not exactly as they seem.

According to Fightful Select, former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio is claiming that he is returning to WWE. He claims the deal was made when Vince McMahon was retired last year. However, a WWE source says there was “no f****** chance” that Del Rio will be returning to the company. Del Rio, 46, last wrestled in WWE in 2016 and has faced various legal issues since last wrestling there.

Opinion: Del Rio has made similar claims before and nothing seems to be coming from them, which shouldn’t be a surprise. At the end of the day, while he was a star, there is so much baggage that comes with him that it wouldn’t be worth it for WWE. While Del Rio is wrestling elsewhere, it does not seem that he will be doing so in WWE again, which is probably best for everyone but him.
