The show has a future. WWE has a lot of content to produce every week and some of it is a little more important than others. Some of the shows are highlights of the week while other times fans have to be reminded that the shows exist. One such show is 205 Live, which has some incredible action but is running uphill with an anchor. Now we know where things are going for the purple show.
According to PWInsider.com, the current plan is to move 205 Live to Friday nights and continuing running the show right after SmackDown Live. The show will continue to air on the WWE Network at 10pm EST. Going forward, the show will be written by the NXT staff, which would play into the recent Triple H statements of the two shows showing more on the same stage.
There is some good stuff on there. Check out last week’s big main event:
Opinion: I may be crazy, but something tells me that putting on a wrestling show at 10pm EST on Friday night is not going to draw the biggest audience. I’m sure a lot of people will stick around because they’ve already paid to see the show, but this didn’t work on Tuesdays. Why is it supposed to work on Fridays instead? The show is only doing so much good and the whole thing going away wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.
